The terms that govern our quotations, installations, finance facilitation and ongoing services.

Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise, and are based on the information supplied by the client at the time of quoting. Material changes to consumption data, roof condition, structural findings, distance from the distribution board or equipment pricing may require a revised quotation.
A project is confirmed on written acceptance of the quotation and receipt of the agreed deposit. Equipment is procured only once a project is confirmed. Deposits are applied to procurement and are non-refundable once equipment has been ordered.
The client must provide safe and reasonable access to the site, roof and distribution board during agreed working hours, together with access to water and power where required. Delays caused by restricted access, unsafe conditions or third-party works may affect the schedule and cost.
Pre-existing electrical faults, non-compliant wiring or structural remediation discovered on site are quoted separately before remedial work proceeds.
All installations are carried out in accordance with SANS 10142-1 by registered persons, and a Certificate of Compliance is issued for the work performed by HOBYS EMPIRE. Where municipal or Small-Scale Embedded Generation registration is required, approval timelines rest with the relevant authority.
HOBYS EMPIRE facilitates applications to third-party lending partners and is not a credit provider. All indicative monthly figures are estimates until a lender issues a formal offer. Credit approval, rates and terms are determined solely by the lender.
Yield, savings and payback figures are engineering estimates based on simulation, historical irradiation data and the consumption information provided. Actual results vary with weather, occupancy, consumption behaviour and utility tariff changes, and are therefore not guaranteed.
Equipment warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are subject to their terms, including correct installation and operation. HOBYS EMPIRE warrants its own workmanship for the period stated in the accepted quotation. Warranties may be void where unauthorised parties modify the installation.
Maintenance plans and remote monitoring are provided on the terms set out in the applicable service schedule. Remote monitoring depends on client-supplied internet connectivity at the site.
Ownership of purchased equipment passes on receipt of full payment. Under rent-to-own, asset finance or power purchase agreements, ownership is governed by that specific agreement. Risk in the installed goods passes to the client on commissioning.
To the extent permitted by law, HOBYS EMPIRE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, production or data, arising from the supply, installation or operation of a system, save where such loss results from our gross negligence.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
